I'm the director of compassion & justice ministries at Community Christian Church in Illinois.
I am the Founder and Director of Community 4:12, the Compassion & Justice Ministry of Community Christian Church. I am deeply passionate about addressing the “injustices” and inequalities that people living in poverty face and about bringing people together across racial, cultural, and economic differences. I believe that everyone is rich in some ways and everyone is poor in some ways, and only by coming together can we help address each other’s poverty.
I live in Aurora, Illinois with my husband Scott, sons Erik and Brian and our dog Lucy. We relocated to East Aurora in 2007 as part of our community development efforts, because of our commitment to incarnational ministry.
Community 4:12's biggest initiative is in East Aurora, however Community Christian Church also has other ministries developing in Joliet, Romeoville, and Chicago . . . all led by people passionate about restoring God's dream for unity and freedom from poverty and inequality.
